Sascha Scheid

About Me

With a foundation in both media design and computer science, I operate at the precise boundary where systems thinking meets visual intelligence. I'm a software engineer by craft — full-stack, product-minded, and obsessed with the details that separate good software from exceptional software.

Alongside my full-time engineering role, I co-founded a startup — an experience that transformed me from an engineer into a builder in the fullest sense. I learned to lead teams, navigate ambiguity, ship under pressure, and make product decisions that balance user needs with technical constraints.

I believe great software is a form of design, and great design is a form of reasoning. Every system I build reflects that conviction.

  • We help brands transform traditional sweepstakes, raffles, and promotional competitions into scalable digital experiences.
  • Responsible for the technology and product vision behind our digital promotion platforms.
  • Enabling brands to run engaging, data-driven campaigns at scale.

  • Responsible for the design & architecture of an internal backend framework for distributed services built on Spring Boot.
  • Coordinate planning with stakeholders from the product development teams and my teammates.
  • Primarily involved in the data management and separation layer of the framework.

  • In the Cloud Infrastructure team, developed a monitoring service that retrieves and processes document metadata across multiple ElasticSearch clusters.
  • Designed to detect and prevent mapping explosions at an early stage.

  • Internship in the Cloud Infrastructure team, contributing to the development of an internal backend framework.
  • Built small internal libraries and build-system plugins, and adjusted CI/CD pipelines.
